With BMW, you benefit from an extended warranty on the high-voltage battery of your hybrid or fully electric BMW vehicle. This protects you from unexpected costs arising from material defects, such as battery failure, and, in the case of fully electric BMW models, also from excessive loss of battery capacity.
For Hybrid Vehicles.
The extended warranty applies depending on the vehicle model for up to 8 years or up to a maximum mileage of 160,000 kilometers:
- BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles of generation 3.0 and 4.0 – 6 years / 100,000 km
- BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles of generation 5.0 – 8 years / 160,000 km
- BMW i8 vehicles – 8 years / 100,000 km
For Fully Electric Vehicles (BEV).
In addition to the extended warranty, you receive a performance guarantee for the battery capacity. This protects you against excessive loss of battery capacity.
The extended warranty and performance commitment apply depending on the vehicle model for up to 8 years or up to a maximum mileage of 160,000 kilometers:
- BMW i3 vehicles registered before 01.08.2019 – 8 years / 100,000 to 160,000 km
- BMW BEV vehicles – 8 years / 160,000 km
