The M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X6 M50d inspires with its combination of pronounced dynamics and astonishing efficiency. Among the features making this possible is the three-stage turbocharging with variable turbine geometry. The highly developed engine responds with extreme spontaneity. Even at low revs, a high torque is available and the range of usable engine speeds is especially broad. Expressed in statistics, this means: 280 kW (381 hp), 740 Nm of torque at 2,000 to 3,000/min, from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. At the same time, the combined fuel consumption is 7.9–7.8 litres per 100 km and average CO2 emissions are 209–205 g/km. Thanks to Blue Performance technology, the production version of the BMW X6 M50d complies with the EU6 emissions standard.
