The M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X6 M50d inspires with its combination of pronounced dynamics and astonishing efficiency. Among the features making this possible is the three-stage turbocharging with variable turbine geometry. The highly developed engine responds with extreme spontaneity. Even at low revs, a high torque is available and the range of usable engine speeds is especially broad. Expressed in statistics, this means: 280 kW (381 hp), 740 Nm of torque at 2,000 to 3,000/min, from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. At the same time, the combined fuel consumption is 7.9–7.8 litres per 100 km and average CO2 emissions are 209–205 g/km. Thanks to Blue Performance technology, the production version of the BMW X6 M50d complies with the EU6 emissions standard.

The driving dynamics concept of the BMW X6 M50d is designed with performance in mind. Increased driving pleasure combined with unique comfort and inspiring versatility is the objective. The high level of agility and precision in the handling and the balanced tuning of all components can be felt whenever the vehicle comes out of a bend. With their extensive modifications, the engineers of BMW M GmbH have optimised the suspension and steering characteristics of this exclusive Sports Activity Coupé down to the finest detail.

  • More sport: the Adaptive M suspension
  • More agility: the Suspension Package Dynamic
  • More traction: BMW xDrive

Transferring the power in the BMW X6 M50d is an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission supplied as a standard feature. The specific M Performance tuning of the shift programmes is specially adapted to the particular performance potential of the engine. Shift paddles on the steering wheel allow gear changing in sporty style. The transmission also features a Launch Control, ensuring optimum acceleration under all conditions. The compact build, low weight and perfect interplay with the Auto Start Stop Function are also instrumental in significantly lowering fuel consumption and reducing exhaust emissions.

Finely honed design, perfected drive, maximised driving dynamics. M Performance Automobiles embody this triad of features. As exclusive offers from BMW M GmbH, they combine the best of their respective series with the dynamic genes of BMW M, thus creating their very own class.

Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

  • The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model.

    (1) The values are applicable until 15.04.2018. Please check availability with your BMW dealer.

The values of the vehicles labeled with (3), are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.]

The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification.

For further information about the official fuel consumption and the specific CO2 emission of new passenger cars can be taken out of the „handbook of fuel consumption, the CO2 emission and power consumption of new passenger cars“, which is available at all selling points and at https://www.dat.de/angebote/verlagsprodukte/leitfaden-kraftstoffverbrauch.html.
